Presentation: Sharing True Stories of the Sudanese Muslims
Anila Goldie set out to befriend her fear of Muslims through making friends with the Muslim Sudanese. You will hear about her experiences with the peaceful, caring, gracious Muslims of Sudan who opened their hearts and homes to her. Anila is an enthusiastic storyteller and is passionate about offering a true account of the Muslim Sudanese. She will present an optimistic, refreshing, uplifting perspective on Muslims based on her first-hand experiences. Her talk is accompanied by PowerPoint slides with rare photographs, watercolors and oil paintings by Sudanese artists. There will be time for questions and answers after which her book, The Problem is Not Available: 364 Days in Sudan, and audio CDs will be available for purchase. Through Goldie's Peace Project, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her book and audio recordings is given to organizations and individuals promoting peace.
Anila Prineveau Goldie, M.Ed., is a retired teacher with 30 years of teaching experience both in the USA and abroad. She lived and taught in Khartoum, Sudan.
